All ACTRA members have basic rights under human rights legislation and provincial laws, as well as specific protections through ACTRA’s Production and Commercial agreements. Learn more here about what your rights are, how to exercise them, and what to do when your rights are violated.
Hair Discrimination
Hair Discrimination can be a form of Racial Harassment, and usually occurs when a performer who is racialized experiences treatment in the hair department that is lesser than that of their white peers in the same performance category.
Makeup Discrimination
Makeup discrimination is a form of Racial Harassment, and usually occurs when a performer who is racialized experiences treatment in the makeup department that is different than that of their white peers in the same performance category.
