TORONTO, ON (July 15, 2022) – ACTRA announced today that its ACTRA Performers’ Rights Society (PRS) Director, Michael Murray, is leaving the organization on August 19, 2022, to pursue another opportunity.
“I would like to thank Michael for stepping in at a crucial time to support ACTRA, ACTRA PRS and ACTRA Recording Artists’ Collecting Society (RACS) in our objective to improve the working lives of Canadian professional performers and for his commitment to defending the rights of artists,” said ACTRA National Executive Director, Marie Kelly. “We are grateful for his hard work and dedication and wish Michael the best in his future endeavours.”
“Thank you to National Executive Director Marie Kelly, President Eleanor Noble, ACTRA Staff and members for making my time with ACTRA enriching and enlightening,” said Michael Murray. “With so many challenges and opportunities facing performers, there is a need for a strong artist-led collective voice.
