TORONTO, ON (August 27, 2018) — Stephen Waddell, National Executive Director of ACTRA, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Blanchette to Director, Public Policy and Communications at ACTRA.
“We are happy to welcome Lisa Blanchette as our new Director of Public Policy and Communications,” said Stephen Waddell. “Lisa’s background in policy and communications within the film and television industry and government make her a welcome addition to ACTRA’s team.”
Lisa brings a wealth of experience to the Director role having previously worked for ACTRA Toronto as an Organizer from June 2012 to June 2015 and, most recently, as a Government Relations Specialist. She also served as Chief of Staff for the Minister of Culture and Tourism for the province of Alberta from June 2015 to January 2018. Lisa replaces Elliott Anderson who, after two-and-a-half years of commendable service to ACTRA, has taken on a new challenging role in the government sector.
